The New Year's table is a real work of art, because every housewife invests so much love, ingenuity, warmth and positive into the preparation of her favorite or completely new dishes! Each dish is a verse in a common song or a necessary touch in the picture of the holiday. A brightly decorated room, a lot of light - garlands, candles, lamps - after all, the hostess of the next year, the Red Fire Monkey, simply adores glitter and sparks! An elegant Christmas tree and the main decoration is a festive table, as is customary, with a lot of delicious treats (calorizator). Let's start with the appetizers, some of which can be prepared whole in advance or prepared to the maximum for instant “picking” and serving.

Taking into account the extraordinary agility and restlessness of the Monkey, we will rely on small snacks “for one bite” so that you can quickly have a sip of champagne and dance or play again. A real lifesaver on our table is a large basket of fruit, which we will modify a little for convenience - into a dish with fruit on skewers.

Fruit canapes

  • banana - 2 pcs.
  • fresh strawberries - 200 gr
  • pear - 1 pc.
  • peach (canned) - 1 pc.
  • carambola - 1 pc.
  • grapes - 10-12 pcs.

Wash and peel the fruit, carefully peel the orange slices, cut in half across. Cut the kiwi, banana into circles of medium thickness, carambola into thin stars, pear and peach into large cubes (or rectangles, depending on the size of the rest of the fruit). If the canapes are supposed to be strung on wooden skewers, you should soak them for a while in cold water so that they swell and the fruit does not "slide off" from them. For this reason, wooden sticks are preferable to plastic counterparts. Assembling canapes is an exciting activity, invite the children to help, things will go more fun and new flavor combinations are provided!

Traditional canapés are built in the following combinations, with the lowest ingredient coming first:

banana + kiwi + orange / peach

  • pear + banana + strawberry
  • banana + carambola + grapes

You can put fruit canapes on the dish in "segments" or in any order, if desired, decorate with fresh mint leaves.

Well, what kind of New Year's table would do without cheese? Ours - definitely not, even if for some reason not all well-known and favorite cheeses are available, high-quality maasdam can also be found from domestic producers. Beautiful presentation, unusual combinations of tastes will delight guests and will not take much of the hostess's time.

Maasdam cheese - 300 gr.

  • Prosciutto - 50 gr.
  • sun-dried tomatoes - 100 gr.
  • dried apricots - 5-6 pcs.
  • pitted olives - a handful

  • arugula / baby spinach leaves - a handful
  • liquid honey - 1 tsp.

    Cut the cheese into large squares, if there are canapé molds - use them, soak dried apricots for a few minutes in water and put on a paper towel, chop olives and olives (separately), wash and cut the tomatoes into halves, rinse and dry the salad. Assembling the canapes will not take long, and the appetizer will turn out to be very effective and piquant. So, we take wooden toothpicks or special plastic skewers (the dense texture of the cheese will prevent them from escaping) and collect the canapes:

    • cheese + half cherry + spinach / arugula

    Fish snacks on the festive table are considered traditional. We will prepare a quick, healthy, tasty and beautiful dish that will appeal to even those who, even on such a magical night, remember about the calorie content of foods.

      Wash the herbs, dry, chop finely - leave a few sprigs of dill and onion stalks for decoration, mix with curd cheese. Cut the bread into thin slices, if desired, cut out circles or triangles from them, gently spread with curd cheese, place a thin slice of fish rolled up on top. Decorate with herbs and long orange peel flakes.

      Hot snacks are the pride of the hostess and must be present on the table. The unusual presentation of the familiar julienne will help to surprise the guests - in tartlets that you can buy in advance (for this recipe, medium-sized savory shortbread tartlets are ideal). If this version of julienne does not seem very satisfying, add chicken breast to the dish.

      tartlets - 10 pcs.

      • fresh / frozen champignons - 700/500 gr.
      • onion - 1 large onion
      • wheat flour - 3 tbsp. l.
      • sour cream - 250 gr.
      • Russian cheese - 200 gr.
      • sunflower oil - 2-3 tbsp. l.
      • salt, ground black pepper - to taste.

        Peel the onion and finely chop, fry in hot oil for 3 minutes, lay out the mushrooms (rinse fresh and cut into thin platinum, send frozen to the onion without preliminary defrosting). Stir well and cook until the liquid evaporates. Sift flour onto mushrooms and onions, stir vigorously and gradually pour in warm water, stirring constantly, until the flour thickens and disappears. Salt, pepper, add a little more salt than usual, because when baked, it will go into flour and sour cream. Add sour cream, stir, bring to a boil (over low heat), cover and turn off. Such a blank can be prepared in advance, it will stand in the refrigerator for a day or more without losing its properties.

        Before serving, preheat the oven to 190 ° C, grate the cheese on a coarse grater, put the julienne in tartlets, sprinkle with cheese and bake for 10 minutes. Serve immediately until the crispy tartlets are deliciously combined with the creamy content.
