Osteochondrosis - the trouble of a modern office

As you know, sedentary work does not add health, but rather worsens it. A number of diseases can persecute workers of such work, namely: hemorrhoids, osteochondrosis, obesity, prostatitis, etc. Working in a seated position is primarily at risk for operators, dispatchers, computer users, those who sit all day and are unable (or lazy) to get up and stretch.

Osteochondrosis is characterized by damage to the intervertebral discs, most often in the cervical and lumbar regions. People with this disease experience stiffness, limited mobility, dull or sharp pain occurs in the spine. If osteochondrosis affects the cervical spine, cerebrovascular accidents are possible. In the later stages, pain in the spine prevails, aggravated by uncomfortable or long-term motionless positions, more often by physical exertion. In the future, a hernia of the vertebral disc may form. A pronounced deformation of the affected area appears in the form of kyphosis or lordosis. In the treatment of osteochondrosis, both methods of massage, manual therapy, drug and physiotherapy are used.
There are several rules for reducing back strain if you have a sedentary lifestyle.

Sit correctly. Straighten your back as much as possible, straighten your shoulders. At first, this position will be very uncomfortable - your back will hurt. But the muscles will get used to keeping your back in the correct position and the pain will go away. When you sit in a chair, press your back against the back of the chair to help maintain the correct position. Sitting at the table, do not bend forward, keep your hands so that they seem to hold your upper body, preventing it from bending over.

Take breaks. Get in order to get up and move a little every 45-60 minutes. Let it be only five minutes, but try to do some twisting, bending, twisting and twisting exercises. Find time at home to exercise, and try to choose a set of exercises so that the main load falls on the muscles of the back and spine. By training these muscles, you create a muscle corset that will hold the spine in a physiological position.
Try to find an opportunity to visit the pool or outdoor pool. The state of "weightlessness" in water allows the spine to relax and allows the discs to align their shape. You can even do this experiment. Measure your height carefully before training and after swimming for 40 minutes. You will see that your height will increase by one centimeter - this is how much your spine is already deformed by the wrong loads. Don't spend your weekends or vacations lying on the couch or on the beach. Try to walk and move as much as possible. Spend, in general, as much time as possible in the fresh air.
An important addition to the exercise conversation is if you have back problems, exclude forward bends from the exercise routine. In a sedentary lifestyle, such exercise can do more harm than good. Also, try to protect your back as carefully as possible. If you have not previously been fond of sports and decided to lead a healthy lifestyle, start training gradually, without jerking or jumping. This can injure the spine.

Currently, there are many ways to treat osteochondrosis, ranging from taking medications and ending with surgery. Naturally, there is a lot of debate about these methods and their effect on the body. When choosing a method of treatment, it is worth paying attention to some points. So, for example, if you are going to be treated with drugs prescribed by a doctor from the clinic, you should pay attention to the fact that most of them are quite expensive, and in addition, they have a detrimental effect on the stomach and liver, so read the instructions carefully. When choosing a chiropractor, the same is desirable to be more attentive, since a non-professional chiropractor, of which there are quite a few now, can take you to a wheelchair. When choosing therapeutic exercises, you need to pay attention to the fact thatso that the exercises do not cause stress on the spine, but only develop the back muscles. Try to do all exercises slowly, without sudden movements.

A balanced diet plays an important role in ostiochondrosis. You need to eat in small portions 6 times a day: breakfast at 7-8 o'clock, lunch at 11 o'clock, lunch at 14 o'clock, afternoon tea at 17 o'clock, dinner at 19 and at 21 o'clock - a glass of yogurt, or fermented baked milk, or prunes, or an Apple. Of the products for osteochondrosis, grapes (grape juice, raisins, grape wines), legumes (peas, beans, beans, lentils), concentrated broths, jellies, jellies, aspic meat and fish, green salad and sorrel are contraindicated.
According to statistics, more than 90% of the population of Russia suffer from chronic diseases of the spine, and in particular from osteochondrosis, which causes disruption of the vital functions of other organs and systems. Probably not many people know that osteochondrosis consistently ranks second after the flu in terms of the number of days of disability. Moreover, mainly people of working age are sick.
Thus, the problem of back pain and other complications associated with osteochondrosis has existed for a long time, but recently, in addition to its medical significance, it has become more and more social.
