Review of the Slimming Camp in Crimea. Part 1. Before the trip
For those who do not like to read a lot, I advise you to read only the Summary. For the rest - my review about the rest at the Weight Loss Camp.
How did it all start?
Being overweight more and more often reminded me of myself. And the moment came when it became clear that it was time to do something about it. And I began to walk more slowly, do my morning exercises and try to eat more "correct" and healthy food. The weight went away, but slowly. This was fine with me, I don't want saggy skin at all and, even if it is, it slowly folds off, which does not fold off in any way.
Over the course of a year, I was able to lose a few pounds in this way, completely imperceptibly for myself, and realized that I was already a little tired and increasingly indulging in tasty treats … active recreation, preferably with weight loss. In order not only to actively relax, but "reboot and recharge with new forces."
And I found him! There were several versions of the "Slimming Camps" in Crimea, Sochi, Koktebel, Feodosia, etc. I began to study these camps, read reviews and opted for the “Be in shape” weight loss camp in the village of Beregovoe, Feodosia.
Seat reservation and ticket purchase
On their website, I found an email address and wrote a letter. Not receiving an answer on the same day, I began to study the reviews in more detail and realized that Alena (the camp coordinator) might not immediately respond, as she actively participates in the life of the camp, not only coordinating its work, but also meeting / seeing off guests. accompanying on trips, solving other everyday tasks …
I decided to wait a couple of days for an answer.
The answer came exactly 2 days later and a conversation ensued. I found out the questions of interest to me, she methodically answered them. Also not always fast. In the course of which it was decided to go and try a new type of active recreation with benefits for the body.
The dates were roughly agreed upon, all that remained was to choose transport and buy tickets. I bought tickets directly from the air carrier, with payment through a bank card. It took 15 minutes. After the tickets were bought, I made an advance payment of 5000 rubles. to the “Be in shape” weight loss camp, and immediately booked a transfer from the airport (you can also get there by public transport, but it would take a lot of time and effort).
How to get there?
In a search engine, I found that I can go by bus, train and plane. The car was immediately struck out of options due to a short driving experience, and it seemed to me not very comfortable to get by bus. The train and the plane remain. In terms of cost, train and plane tickets turned out to be practically the same, and the travel time was different at times. So let's fly!
In the search engine, a request was made for air tickets "Moscow - Simferopol" and a list of airlines flying in this direction was received. These are: Yamal, S7 Airlines, Ural Airlines, VIM-Avia, Red Wings, Russia and some others. After comparing prices, flight conditions, proximity of the airport to my city, an air carrier was chosen and round-trip tickets were purchased.
I know that many people use special sites that offer air ticket sales at cheaper prices. But since I had specific dates, without the possibility of replacing them with tickets, I did not risk it and bought tickets directly by going to the website of the air carrier that arranged for me.
Arriving in Simferopol, you can order a taxi (it is better to arrange a transfer with Alena in advance) or get to Feodosia by public transport. And already from Feodosia you will be met and taken to the camp in the village of Beregovoe free of charge. A taxi ride from Simferopol airport to the Camp takes 2-3 hours, depending on the time of day and traffic jams. Travel time by car from the bus station of Feodosia to the Camp 15-20 minutes, by bus 30-35 minutes.
How to prepare yourself for the Weight Loss Camp
Many will be surprised and ask me: "Why cook yourself?" Of course, you can eat the last cookie before your flight and go lose weight with peace of mind … BUT! If you were not active before and were sitting / lying on the sofa, eating everything that came to hand, then it will be very difficult for you in the Camp. Which may well lead to a breakdown and another loss of faith in yourself. To prevent this from happening, you need to prepare yourself for the loads and proper nutrition that await you at the Camp.
I advise you to become a little more active, at least just start walking more: to / from work, to the store, to the park, take a walk, do exercises, swim in the pool, visit the gym, etc. Think of things to do and move, forget about the car and public transport, at least for 10-14 days. Try to drink more water, go to bed early, and get up early too. This way, you can prepare yourself for the new routine and adapt more easily. And do not forget about food, try to limit yourself too. Check out the portions on the website and tune in to such a volume of food, consisting mainly of vegetables, herbs and protein products.
Tell yourself: "You need to hold out in this mode only 7/10/14 days before date X, until the date when you go to the Camp." Mark each day on your calendar. And then you just have to live according to the rules of the Camp for the period you have chosen, which will no longer be difficult, since there are no temptations (unless you specifically look for them).
