If you only have an annual goal, then you will most likely be procrastinating, because it will come very, very soon, so there is no point in rushing. When the deadline is right in front of you, you will realize that every meal and every workout counts. You must become your own trainer and nutritionist. No dad, no mom, no husband / wife, no friend, no coach, but YOU, YOU and only YOU.
