Today in New York and London there are more than 15 thousand smoothie bars. And they are visited not only by vegetarians, athletes, but also by other clients. This year, a real boom began in Moscow and other Russian cities, many restaurants and bars are actively highlighting smoothies in a separate menu section. This refreshing and full of vitamins drink is very easy to make.
Why did the smoothie catch on so quickly? The answer to this question is easy. This drink is delicious and healthy. We mean a recipe according to which pieces of fruit are chopped together with juice in a mixer. This drink is really low-calorie and light. Let's now figure out if there is a difference between smoothies and fruit juice. Natural fruit juice often leaves behind fruit pulp, which is usually thrown away. To make a smoothie, you need to grind the fruit, and if the drink is thick, dilute it with milk or water.
The thick structure of the smoothie allows you to drink it slowly and with pleasure. In addition, the drink always turns out to be colorful and bright, pleasing to the eye. Keep in mind that there is a lot of sugar and about 500 calories in 1 liter of smoothies, and some even more.

Although the peel of some fruits contains many vitamins, so whoever likes it. It is best to prepare a smoothie 50/50: a fruit with dense pulp (for example, banana, pear, mango) and a more juicy version, otherwise you will get a thick puree. Dilute the resulting drink with water, milk or add ice. There are a lot of options. Many people like the strawberry yogurt smoothie to taste. It is very easy to prepare it: in a blender, mix 200 g of fresh or frozen strawberries with 150 ml of yogurt. Add 250 ml low-fat milk and beat well again until smooth. Ice can be added. Smoothies can be made with vegetables. Try making a drink with carrots, tomatoes, beets, cucumbers, avocado, spinach. Season the drink with basil, coriander, mint. Unusual taste in mixtures of fruits and vegetables, for example carrots - orange. Decorate the smoothie with fruit pieces, berries, cream. Believe me, none of the guests will remain indifferent!
