How to cook the Kurnik dish

  1. Sift flour through a sieve, add eggs, soft margarine, soda, kefir and salt to the flour.
  2. Knead a soft dough and let it rest for 30-40 minutes.
  3. Rinse and dry the chicken fillet, cut into small pieces.
  4. Melt half of the butter in a frying pan and fry the chicken fillet a little on it, lightly salting.
  5. Peel the potatoes, cut them into thin cubes.
  6. Peel and finely chop the onion, add to the potatoes.
  7. Then add the fried chicken, salt, pepper and bay leaf. Mix everything well.
  8. Divide the dough into two unequal portions. Lightly grease a baking dish. Roll out most of the dough and put it in a mold, forming sides. Put the filling on the dough and smooth it, put the remaining pieces of butter on the filling.
  9. Roll the smaller part of the dough into a circle, cover on top and pinch the edges well. Make a small hole in the middle for the steam to escape. Stir the protein and grease the surface of the chicken.
  10. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, put the pie in the oven. Bake until the potatoes are ready for 60-80 minutes. Cover the finished chicken with a towel and let stand for 20 minutes.

There are a lot of chicken recipes. I suggest one of them. This is a very satisfying dish that can be eaten as a second for lunch and dinner. You need to bake it until the potatoes are ready, so the cooking time depends on the oven. Or, for faster cooking, fry the potatoes until half cooked.
