Air Fryer Honey Garlic Salmon

  • Author: Tailor Madison
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This Air Fryer Honey Garlic Salmon is a quick, healthy, and flavorful dinner ready in just 20 minutes. Juicy salmon fillets are coated in a sticky-sweet honey garlic glaze and cooked to perfection in the air fryer for a restaurant-worthy meal at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin-on or skinless)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced or grated
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • Optional garnishes: sesame seeds, chopped green onions, red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Remove any pin bones if needed. Sprinkle both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil until smooth and glossy.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  4. Lay the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down if using skin-on. Brush or spoon about half the honey garlic glaze evenly over the tops. Reserve the rest for basting and serving.
  5. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 7 minutes. Open the basket, brush with the remaining glaze, and continue cooking for 3-5 more minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork (total cook time: 10-12 minutes).
  6. Carefully lift the salmon out with a spatula or tongs. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, green onions, or red pepper flakes if desired. Let rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

For gluten-free, use tamari or coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. Maple syrup can replace honey for a different flavor. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for best caramelization. Let salmon rest 2 minutes before serving for juicier results. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days; reheat gently in the air fryer or microwave.
